The Resort Of Resorts
I live in the Pocono Mountain Area of Pennsylvania, USA. My residence is about 5 1/2 miles from a fantastic resort by
the name of Split Rock Resort & Golf Club. In my opinion this is a 5-star resort snd one of the finest resort you can find anywhere. I must admit that it does not contain an amusement park such as Disney World or Disney Land. It does, in fact, have numerous facilities to keep you busy, entertained and happy all day and night. The indoor activities include:
a) an indoor waterpark which is scheduled to open September 2008.
b) 2 indoor pools
c) 3 indoor surface tennis courts
d) various children activities
e) fully equipped fitness center
f) massage center
g) steam room and whirlpool
h) billiard room
i) 8 lane bowling alley
j) first run movie theater
k) numerous other activities The outdoor activities are:
a) 27 holes of champion golf
b) 18 hole championship miniature golf course
c) 1 outdoor pool
d) a lagoon for swimming
e) 6 outdoor clay tennis courts
f) numerous other activities, such as, racquetball, archery, bocci ball, volleyball, shuffleboard, softball Split Rock Resort and Golf Club is approximately 5-6 miles
from Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA which hosts the NASCAR Pocono 500 in June and Pennsylvania 500 which this year was
held in August 2008. The dining choices range from Bell'ago which serve Italian
cuisine, Benchwarmers, a Sports Bar, and various others such as old fashioned ice cream parlor and coffee shop which are
located in the Galleria. Accommodations include a rustic Austrian style lodge,small cottages with a fireplace, and various other accommodations. Also nearby, approximately 30 miles, are the Mohegan Sun Casino Resort in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Mount Airy Casino Resort located in Mount Pocono, PA. Really what more can would you desire for a perfect vacation
